Dear Louisville Chapter,
As some of you may be aware, each year alumni chapters are involved in the “Mink Conference.” The Mink Conference is a friendly competition between chapters of similar size/demographic to help promote chapter activities and operations. I’m proud to announce that the Louisville Chapter won last year’s division! As a division winner, not only do we have bragging rights, but we will also be awarded a $600 prize at an upcoming leadership conference in Lexington to use as we see fit for a chapter activity.
Chapters were ranked based on a number of factors, including number and variety of events/activities, communications with the chapter, leadership structure and annual fund participation. We could not have done it without the help of our many volunteers from the chapter, so a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered this past year — as well as the entire chapter for supporting our activities and events.
We are looking forward to another great year and hope to see you at some of the fun activities that we have planned! We are always open to suggestions and ideas. If you would like to make a suggestion for the chapter or become involved, please send me an email at elharris@deloitte.com.
To that end, I’d also like to take this opportunity to encourage you to RSVP to the event at LCC on Thursday, October 15. President Ruscio will be visiting our Louisville Chapter and we are hosting a cocktail reception in his honor that evening. The university is subsidizing a portion of the event; the cost per person is $20. We hope to have a great turnout!
Sincerely,
Elaine Harris ‘92
President
